The European Landowners' Organization Joins FoCC

The Future of Cities Coalition is pleased to welcome the European Landowners' Organization (ELO) as its newest member.

ELO is a unique federation of associations from Europe, representing the interests of landowners, farmers, foresters and rural entrepreneurs. The organisation is dedicated to advancing a sustainable countryside and promoting sustainable land management, biodiversity and resilient rural areas.

ELO's membership reflects FoCC's continued commitment to a sustainable future for tourism. This means a better balance between urban and rural destinations while ensuring that the benefits of tourism are shared across territories, and that rural communities can remain vibrant, resilient and economically active.

As tourism and urban liveability remain central to FoCC's agenda, ELO's perspective adds an important rural dimension. It helps manage visitor pressures in cities while supporting sustainable tourism opportunities, local businesses and rural communities across Europe.
